Changes to the Car Park

We need to ensure that our car park is being used by our patients and customers of Lloyds Pharmacy only. As this is currently not the case, the Security System of 'PARKING EYE' has being implemented on our car park and is now live. It is essential that you input your car registration number at reception when attending the surgery either when you come in or before you leave so that you qualify for the 90 minutes free parking, or 45 minutes if you do it in the pharmacy. Thank you for your co-operation and we hope that this change will mean that the car park can again be used by the people it was intended for.

Named GP for all patients

As one of our patients you have an allocated a named GP, (your registered GP), who has the responsibility for the overall care that our surgery provides to you. Your allocated, named GP, will take the lead for the co-ordination of any other relevant health and care professionals who are involved in your care. Please contact the surgery if you wish to know which GP has been allocated to you. However, as we are a group practice where all GP’s have immediate access to all records of previous patient consultations, please continue to book your appointments with any of our available GP’s.

Extended Primary Care Services
The NHS General Practice Forward View (GPFV) outlines a five-year plan to sustain and transform general practice. One of the national requirements it includes is for extended access primary care services to be available to all patients for both pre-bookable and same day appointments from 1 September 2018. For more information visit Your Services on the NHS wesite.
Important information about Saturday opening
From Saturday 1st September 2018 you will not be able to collect prescriptions and letters on a Saturday Morning. Please arrange collection of prescriptions and letters between Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm. This has come into effect after reviewing our security policy for a Saturday.
Many thanks for your co-operation.
Goodbye Dr. Somerville
We are sure both colleagues and patients will join me in wishing Dr Somerville happiness in the next chapter of his life.
From 31st December 2018, Dr Somerville will be retiring after 25 years commitment to the Park Medical Centre.
He will be sadly missed by us all and we are sure he will find lots of new hobbies to fill his days.
Many thanks from all at the Park Medical Centre.

GP Earnings

Average earnings calculation for the last financial year

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Park Medical Centre in the last financial year was £73,637 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full-time GPs and 5 part-time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

Would You Recommend Us To Your Friends And Family?

The NHS friends and family test (FFT) is an important opportunity for you to provide feedback on the services that provide your care and treatment. Your feedback will help NHS England to improve services for everyone.
It was introduced in 2013 and asks patients whether they would recommend hospital wards, A&E departments and maternity services to their friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment. This means every patient in these wards and departments is able to give quick feedback on the quality of the care they receive, giving hospitals a better understanding of the needs of their patients and enabling improvements.
The FFT became available in GP practices on December 1 2014. So please let us know if you would recommend us to your friends and family by following this link, or if you prefer, please pop in to the surgery when you are passing and pick up a paper copy.
